IBEW Reinforces Support for Biden-Harris Re-Election
IBEW International President Kenneth W. Cooper issued the following statement on the IBEW’s commitment to the Biden-Harris re-election effort:
"The IBEW only partners with leaders who are serious about defending workers and protecting their families. Over the past four years President Biden has been that ally. While many pose at podiums and pretend in public statements, President Biden has been a friend of action. He has stood by the IBEW when it was unpopular. When it counts, not just on camera. That kind of partnership has led to real results for IBEW members and workers everywhere.
"Here at the IBEW, we care about policies, not debates. And when it comes to the policies that impact us, President Biden has been led by our input. In every instance that matters, in every context with consequences, the IBEW’s agenda has been his priority. And it shows in every IBEW-endorsed law President Biden has passed. The IBEW’s influence on the behalf of working families has never been more evident or effective.
"The reason for this is clear: Joe Biden is more than just a friend to the IBEW, he is a sincere believer in the necessity of unions. He understands, as we do, that unions like the IBEW are in the public interest. And the IBEW understands who our real friends are.
