IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson issued the following statement regarding the nomination of Dan Brouillette to be Secretary of Energy

“On behalf of 775,000 active and retired members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the largest union in the electrical industry, we call on the United States Senate to approve Dan Brouillette to be the next Secretary of Energy.

Deputy Secretary Brouillette has enjoyed a long career in the world of policymaking and is firmly committed to an all-of-the-above energy strategy that taps into each of this nation’s power sources to promote job growth, a reliable grid and a cleaner future.

We look forward to working with Mr. Brouillette as we confront America’s energy challenges, from slashing carbon emissions and investing in a reliable and resilient energy grid to protecting good jobs.

We urge the Senate to confirm Dan Brouillette as Energy Secretary.
