Statement from IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson on the Nuclear Energy Leadership Act

IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson issued the following statement in support of the Nuclear Energy Leadership Act:

“As the most reliable source of carbon-free energy, nuclear deserves the support of our nation’s leaders, and that’s why the IBEW fully supports the Nuclear Energy Leadership Act. It will boost nuclear research and innovation, reestablishing the United States as the global leader in clean, zero-emissions power, and bring together lawmakers and energy leaders to ensure a continuing supply of safe, reliable nuclear energy.

"This is common-sense, bipartisan legislation that promotes energy security, good jobs, and a clean-energy future for our nation and the world.

"I encourage Congress to move forward and pass this vital bill.”
