BG&E Workers Rally for Their Own Union at Exelon HQ
BG&E Workers & Lawmakers Come Together the Day Before the Union Election

BaltiMore, MD.
On Tuesday, Jan. 10, BG&E’s gas and electrical workers are gathering in front of Exelon’s Baltimore office in a show of strength on the eve of their organizing election.

More than 1,400 BG&E electricity, distribution, maintenance and gas processing workers will be voting Wednesday and Thursday to form their own union, IBEW Local 410 in Baltimore.

These are the men and women who go out in the worst weather --blizzards, hurricanes, derechos and floods—to keep our houses warm and lit and our businesses open.

Rally participants will include BG&E workers, state Rep. Cory McCray (member of IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore), City Council members Ryan Dorsey and John Bullock, Special Assistant to the International President for Membership Development Ricky Oakland and more than 80 IBEW volunteer organizers from across the country.

Votes will be tallied Thursday night beginning at 7 p.m. at the Region 5 Office of the NLRB 100 S. Charles Street (Tower II) 6th Floor in Baltimore.
