The IBEW photo contest is now open and once again our members have given us some amazing images to choose from.
IBEW members know that they get some of the best views while they’re at work. Whether it’s the landscape from a lineman’s pole or the top story of a new skyscraper, our members are the lucky ones who get to take in those scenes while getting paid for it. Then there are the numerous other crafts, from broadcasting to telecommunications to railroad, who are also blessed with captivating scenes during their workdays. The IBEW photo contest is our way of celebrating some of the best of these moments and now is the time to vote for your favorite.
Across North America, from Vancouver, British Columbia to Baltimore, Maryland, this year’s finalists captured some truly stunning images. Whether it’s the rolling hills of Oregon in spring or a close-up of a welder, these images tell the story of electrical workers. And it’s one worth celebrating. Make sure to check them out and cast your vote before the contest closes on March 25.
Please choose and rank your three favorite images. Anyone can vote – so spread the word – but only one vote per person please. First place wins $200, second place $150, third place $100 and honorable mentions win $50. The winners will also be featured in an upcoming issue of the Electrical Worker. The deadline for voting is March 25 at 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
