The Oct. 1 deadline for IBEW’s 20th Annual Photo Contest annual
photo contest is just around the corner.
What are you waiting for?
For two decades, IBEW members have submitted pictures for contest consideration that reflect the pride we take in the work we do — on the clock as well as off.
The best photo subjects tend to include action shots of you and/or your fellow members at work or at some type of IBEW-related activity. Electrical industry or union images are also effective submission ideas.
After the Oct. 1 deadline, up to 15 finalists will be selected and their submissions posted online for final judging by the public. Winners will be featured on ibew.org and in a future issue of The Electrical Worker.
Winners also receive cash prizes: $200 for first place, $150 for second, and $100 for third. Honorable mentions get $50.
Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Share with your brothers and sisters across the U.S. and Canada your unique perspective on the work you do.
Some important things to remember: Your large, high-quality photo entries (up to five per active or retired IBEW member) must be submitted electronically via this link.
But before you hit “send,” make sure you read the contest’s tips, official rules and submission instructions.
If you have questions, call the department at 202-728-6102 or send an email to media@IBEW.org.
