IBEW President Stephenson on Approval of Rover Pipeline

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers President Lonnie R. Stephenson issued the following statement regarding the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s approval of the Rover Pipeline.

“FERC’s approval of the Rover Pipeline is a step in the right direction for the economy and is a win for workers and customers alike.

“By providing a new route to transport domestically-produced natural gas to markets in the Midwest and Canada, the Rover Pipeline will maintain a reliable supply of energy for consumers, while putting Americans to work in good construction and maintenance jobs.

“And by making it easier to transport gas from the Marcellus and Utica shale, the Rover Pipeline will further encourage our domestic energy industry and move us toward full energy independence.
