Assembly Bill 540 is Governor Lombardo’s housing proposal that seeks to exempt affordable housing projects from prevailing wage requirements, undermining labor standards and making it more difficult for workers to earn a sustainable living.
“We believe that if taxpayer funding is going to go into construction projects, they should be covered by public works and prevailing wage,” said Ronald Young for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 357.
