Celebrating IBEW Local 191: A Milestone of Commitment and Progress

The IBEW Ninth District extends congratulations to IBEW Local 191 on its 125th anniversary! This significant milestone is not just a celebration of history but a testament to the ongoing dedication and impact of our members.

Recently, the City of Wenatchee officially proclaimed IBEW 191 Day, recognizing the union’s vital role in shaping the future of our communities.

For 125 years, IBEW Local 191 has stood at the forefront of the labor movement, advocating for fair wages, strong labor standards, and opportunities that uplift all working families in Washington State.

The proclamation, presented by Mayor Mike Poirier, serves as a reminder of the essential contributions IBEW Local 191 makes, particularly in the realms of renewable energy, data centers, and advanced manufacturing.

The seventh WHEREAS clause of the proclamation states:

“As new industries emerge in renewable energy, data centers, and advanced manufacturing, IBEW Local 191 continues to lead in innovation, training, and solidarity to power the next century of progress.”

This acknowledgment underscores the importance of our union in advocating for fair wages, safety, and dignified working conditions for electrical workers across Northwest Washington.

As we look to the future, let’s remember that our strength lies in unity and our collective commitment to excellence.

Congratulations once again to IBEW Local 191 on this remarkable achievement – here’s to many more years of progress and solidarity!
