The 22 departments of the International Office serve the IBEW’s members and retirees and work at the direction of the international officers. Here, departments are divided into the IBEW’s seven branch departments and the remaining support departments. The Civic and Community Engagement Department maintains liaison with many like minded civil rights and workers’ rights groups, including the AFL-CIO Civil, Human and Women’s Rights Department; and more. This department also maintains the relationship between the IBEW and Union Privilege, through which members can receive a variety of health, economic, and legal benefits.
