In April, IBEW members from Albuquerque Local 611 and New York Local 3 partnered with Electrical Workers Without Borders North America and the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority to wire homes for electricity on the Navajo Reservation.
The Navajo Reservation has more than 13,000 homes unconnected to the power grid.
