IBEW members who have had a hard time deciding on the right pictures to submit to the union’s annual Photo Contest will have a little more time. The deadline for submissions to this year’s contest, which has a top prize of $1,000, has been extended to Nov. 30.
Every year, The Electrical Worker receives from IBEW brothers and sisters across North America hundreds of high-quality digital photos that reflect their unique experience of membership in a growing and thriving union.
With a first-place prize of $1,000 on the line, this one-month contest deadline extension should provide even more members enough time to scour their photo collections for shots that capture their work, their activism and their fellowship. The second-place Photo Contest winner receives $750, with $500 awarded to the third-place entry.
There are also $200 Honorable Mention prizes given to one submission from each IBEW branch.
Entries must be submitted electronically by Nov. 30 via the Photo Contest page, which is also where members can review the contest’s official rules and submission instructions.
