Telecommunications professionals will have the chance to start the new year off right with the latest industry training courtesy of the National Coalition for Telecommunications Education and Learning. All they need is an Internet connection.

On Jan. 14, NACTEL will host a virtual open house for those interested in boosting their career in telecommunications. Attendees will hear from Pace University staff and have time to ask questions. To accommodate as many schedules as possible, the webinar is offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Registration is free but space is limited.

NACTEL is part of a coalition including the IBEW and the Communication Workers of America and partners with Pace University to offer a range of classes. Members can choose from one of five tracks: telecommunications, video, mobile, networking and wireless. In addition to earning an essentials certificate or associate degree, NACTEL offers a bachelor’s degree with a telecommunications concentration and a master’s in Internet technology. The most recent addition is a Bachelor of Science degree in business technology leadership.

The all-online curriculum is updated annually to keep up with fast-changing industry standards and ensure students are graduating with the most relevant and employable skills.
