The company accepted the unions proposal replacing "Work
place of the Future" with a "Constructive Relationship
Committee." The company passed counterproposals on the Avaya
Award Program, ERC Coordinators, vacation accrual, ATP, Lead
21 and Savings Plan.
The unions passed a counterproposal on wages and new proposals
on management performing bargaining work and successorship. The
Unions rejected the company proposal on medical.
During the afternoon session, the unions presented draft proposals
on modifying the variable workforce agreement that included a sales
lead program, new work opportunities, an opt in/out provision and
a certification program.
The Omaha bargaining team met with the company today to review
outstanding contract issues. The company introduced contact language
concerning bargaining a flexible workforce and other work opportunities.
The team tentatively agreed to some minor issues.
