Avaya Update #2

At todays sessions the company presented proposals on LTP (Lucent
Transfer Plan), Academic Awards, ERCs (Employee Resource Center)
and the various coordinator functions. So far, every proposal Avaya
has put forward has called for retrogressive changes. Avaya continues
to try to use their mismanagement as an excuse to reduce programs
that benefit our members. The company needs to be reminded of who
makes the difference in the workplace.
Tomorrow the company will present proposals on Work and Family,
the Savings Plan and Reimbursement Accounts.
In the afternoon the bargaining subcommittees met to discuss various
contract articles in an attempt to reach agreement on minor changes.
Bargaining will resume tomorrow. Updates will be posted at the
end of the session.
