The IBEW printed two versions of the December issue of the IBEW Journal. Some members may receive the wrong one at first, but a correct version will be following shortly.

Heres what happened. Members covered by the IBEWs Pension Benefit Fund (PBF), called "A" members, have received or will receive their December Journal that contains as an insert the summary plan description of the PBF. This edition included special notices on the top right corner of the cover and on the table of contents on page one.

Members not covered under the PBF, called "BA" members, were to receive a Journal without the insert and without the notices on the cover or the table of contents.

Due to a printers error, however, some "BA" members approximately 16,000 out of roughly 400,000 -- were sent a copy of the December Journal without the insert but with the notices on the cover and table of contents. These members will be sent another December issue with the correct cover.

Those "BA" members who may have received a copy with the wrong cover are not missing any information that affects their pension, as they are not covered by the PBF. In addition, all members who are covered by the PBF received the correct version. The IBEW regrets any confusion this error may have caused.
