Televisions Coveted Prize Awarded to IBEW Members July/August 2002 IBEW Journal And the winners are members of IBEW Local 45, Hollywood, California, for their outstanding work in technical direction, live and direct-to-tape sound mixing and multiple camera editing. A total of 23 IBEW members of Local 45 received Emmys during the May 11 creative arts presentation ceremony. The creative arts Emmys are presented in Los Angeles a week before the televised Emmy Awards air. "We have a pretty good technical crew at Television City," said Local 45 shop steward Donna Stock in an understatement. Sister Stock works as a technical director on the shows Politically Incorrect, The Bold and the Beautiful and Dennis Miller Live. Local 45 has 100 full time and approximately 25 per diem workers at the studios at Television City in Los Angeles. They are an integral part of the production crews that help produce the countrys top soap opera, The Young and the Restless, and The Bold and the Beautiful, the most popular soap opera worldwide. Also taped at the studio are game shows The Price is Right and Hollywood Squares, and Dennis Miller Live, Politically Incorrect and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. The IBEW production crews at Television City win Emmys most years, Stock said. This years winners are:
