Senate Majority Leader Sets Green Training in Motion

With the flip of a switch, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Tuesday activated Nevada’s first wind turbine – which will help train Las Vegas Local 357 members in the burgeoning green energy sector.

A champion of renewable energy’s dual promise of clean power and solid career options, Reid highlighted the importance of the growing wind industry and the symbolism of Local 357’s turbine. “Anytime you see something like this, it means jobs,” Reid said.
